MEDICAL HUMANITIES IN REHABILITATION: THEORETICAL HORIZONS AND RESEARCH PERSPECTIVES
Abstract
Medical Humanities were born to refocus attention on the person in healthcare, integrating empathy and narration into clinical practice. In rehabilitation, these approaches improve patient motivation, team cohesion, and ethical care. Despite challenges such as stress and fragmented training, integrating Medical Humanities into education can enhance relational skills, reduce burnout, and promote person-centered care.
