PAST FUTURE: INNOVATING HISTORY EDUCATION FOR SOFT SKILL DEVELOPMENT
Abstract
The Historia Vivens project aims to innovate the teaching of history in secondary schools by adopting a narrative and participatory approach based on the use of historical biographies and active methodologies. The workshop, detailed through this paper, was conceptually oriented by social constructivism (Piaget) and gamification.
The class was divided into heterogeneous groups based on students’ skills in orderto stimulate collaborative and inclusive learning.
The analysis of the results indicated an improvement in the transversal skills of 80% of students.
