INTEGRATING MEDIA EDUCATION AND FOOD LITERACY: A MIXED-METHODS STUDY OF CRITICAL LEARNING, ENGAGEMENT AND INCLUSION IN LOWER SECONDARY SCHOOLS
Abstract
This mixed-methods study explored the impact of a six-week educational intervention integrating food education and media education among 120 lower secondary school students. Results showed significant improvements in Food Media Literacy, healthier eating behaviors, and critical awareness of persuasive media content, with positive inclusive effects also observed for students with Specific Learning Disorders (SLD).
